2019 Thanksgiving Dinner

Our 2019 annual Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Dinner was a great success. It was reported that approximately 420 of God’s children walked through the doors of Fort Washington Collegiate Church on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

The philosophy of our Thanksgiving Meal is that all of us eat together. It is not a “homeless meal.” It is a community meal. Thus, we strive to treat ALL of God’s children with dignity and respect regardless of where they find themselves in their life’s journey. Members of the community, and other local faith institutions at together to fellowship and break bread. We had a number of volunteers and contributors to the meal from: Upper Manhattan Leadership Coalition , Altagracia Faith & Justice Works , Tep Charter Middle School, Matthijssen Business Systems, Business Improvement District , Tennis World, Henry Restoration, Focused Project Management, LLC , and United Healthcare.

We continued our service by sharing our food with Holy Rood Church to assist in their weekly feeding program.
