Our intern James Admans hosted our first Family Celebration Dinner for the LGBTQIA+ community. The holiday season can be difficult for those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Fort Washington created a safe space for an inclusive, fun filled evening. We danced, played games, drew pictures and shared a great meal together. Our pastor, Rev. Damaris Whittaker graced us with a stellar karaoke performance, singing I Will Survive. We danced to some of the well known line daces and listened to special guests as they performed in our open mic activity.

Rev. Daiken Nelson, Founder & Tenzo Mandala Café  provided a healthy meal and CHOCnyc Bakery provided desserts.
