Thankgiving Community Meal

  • Fort Washington Collegiate Church 729 West 181st Street New York, NY, 10033 United States (map)

Free/ Gratis. Everyone is welcome. Todos Bienvenidos.

Join us for our annual Community Thanksgiving dinner at Fort Washington Church on November 17, 2024, at 1PM. This meal is open to the community, and it provides a vital moment of nourishment and fellowship for families and individuals in need.

As we have done in the past, we are seeking food contributions from our neighborhood partners (grocery stores, delis, restaurants, and more). In particular, we are seeking perishable items such as: green beans, onions, celery, carrots, yams, milk, dinner rolls, butter, as well as non-perishable items such as: instant stuffing, canned items (canned chicken stock, mixed vegetables, hams, and cranberry sauce), instant potatoes, and drinks (sodas and juices).

If you would like to contribute, we would appreciate hearing in advance what specifically you will be offering and when we can pick it up.

·      You can let us know this information by calling our office at 212-568-4014, emailing ddavis@fortwashingtonchurch.org or speaking directly with our volunteer.

·      If you would like to bring your contribution to the church, please do so during business hours, 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, until Nov 15.

·      In addition, if your establishment would like to provide cooked items such as pies, pastries, side dishes, or other warm or cold dishes or beverages, please bring them to Fort Washington Collegiate Church, 729 West 181th St, on Saturday, November 16th between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

o   Whatever you decide, please let us know ahead of time what your contribution will be.

If you would like to contribute financially to this meal, we would be glad to accept cash, or you can give online at: https://www.fortwashingtonchurch.org/give.

Volunteering:  Do you want to serve? Don't forget to Sign up to volunteer for the Thanksgiving community meal.

Thank you so much for your support. This meal is an important way for our community to unite and fellowship while also providing care and compassion to people who might not otherwise have enough to celebrate Thanksgiving. All contributions will be acknowledged and documented for tax purposes. Should you give a substantial donation, we would like to invite you to share your logo so we can give recognition of your donations.

May God bless and keep you and your family in this holiday season.
